Humphrey is finished!!! Just in time too as it's my boss' birthday tomorrow!! I've still got to finish framing it tomorrow morning but the stitching is complete!! Woop :)
Here is Humphrey in the frame I am going to be using. The alphabet used is from a different Humphrey's corner design. Due to the time limits I have missed off some of the back stitch and tweaked the back stitch I have done in places to make it easier to do :)
Going to be giving it to my boss when she's back in on Tuesday so fingers crossed she likes it!! Now I can get back to finishing off Santa!
Till next time, happy stitching!!

Sunday Starts, WIP Wednesday & Stash!
Bit of a mixed bag kind of post today. The weather continues to insist on being rubbish and un-summery but I have decided I don't care. I am going to enjoy the time I can spend stitching when it's too wet to go anywhere.
On that note I started something new on Sunday, before you all cry that my project bag has several projects on the go, I shall explain that it is a present for my boss' birthday next week. I am stitching a humphrey's corner design and I'm adapting it into a sampler for her little boy who's birthday is also next week (same day in fact!)
I started this on Sunday evening and stitched all day Monday as I had a rare week-day off, here is my progress as of Wednesday morning after stitching into the wee hours on Tuesday evening.

It's actually stitching up really quickly, just his head and the backstitch to go! It's a good job really as I'm not going to see my boss after Thursday so I really just have Wednesday evening to get it finished before her birthday! Luckily I'm framing it myself and have everything I need to do that!
My new stash arrived in the post on Tuesday!!
Apparently I'm still having uploading issues with some images. Anyhoo... Lastest stash is the new Lizzie Kate Mystery Sampler pt.1 & the thread pack to stitch it, PS mini chartpack 'D', LHN sleighbells ring & ding dong merrily & a little snowman chart from heart in hand. (I took advantage of the Christmas in July sale on 123stitch!)
Time for bed now me thinks, hoping to get up early and put some more stitches into Humphrey!!

P.S Just realised I've forgotten to take a photo of Mario, will try to remember for next time!

WIP Wednesday
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends and happy 'winds-day' to all Winnie the pooh lovers!!
The weather in England so far this summer is leaving much to be desired. So far this week it has been grey, wet and humid. Very greenhousey and not at all plesant!
Although I have been at work I have managed to get some stitching done, this week I am working on Super Mario and I'm enjoying it which makes a change!
-no photo yet as theres not really much to show-
I have been a bit naughty...I got an email from 123stitch saying they had part 1 of the summer mystery sampler from Lizzie Kate in stock....I've bought it and the thread pack to work it....a few christmas charts found their way into my basket too, christmas in July sales will always be my downfall!!
-just waiting for them to be delivered now...only a week or so to go....-
I think thats it for my week so far, reading wise I'm re-reading the Wicked series by Gregory Maguire, as I've checked out the lastest book 'Out of Oz' from my local Library but can't really remember the story so far...for those that haven't heard of them , it is a series of books based on the Wizard of Oz books. Wicked is the first book and is about the life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It has also been made into a stage show which I'm dying to go and watch in London!!
until next time
farewell my pretties!!
Happy Stitching!!

Sunday Santa
here's how far I got with Santa
His trousers are a little further along but they seem to be taking far longer than his shirt did!
As Santa isn't finished I've put the slip of paper back into the jar to get picked again. I will do this with each slip until the task on the slip is complete.
Lesleyanne asked what I have on my bucket list, I have all of my current wips, my finishing pile, a couple of stash related tasks I keep putting off like organising my threads/fabrics and a couple of new challenges like learning to crochet and trying a punch needle kit. I also have a couple of new starts in there. As I think of other ideas I'll add to the bucket :)
Happy Stitching!!

Sunday Stitchings
I still haven't managed to sort out the issue I'm having with posting photos, I have posted my problem on the google groups page so fingers crossed I'll get the help I need soon.
Onto the main reason for my post, stitching!!
Followers of Rhona's blog tangled threads will have seen her post about a summer bucket list and her suggestion of a craft themed bucket, if not go check it out here!!
Long story short I was far to impatient to do the stitching before the bucketing so here is my makeshift bucket list, safely held in my kilner jar-incidentally one of the things on my bucket list is to do the stitching for my bucket list...and to do the pincushion top idea, also from Rhona's blog!!
Today's stitching comes from the bucket list (also known as the jam jar of destiny) and surprisingly was the project I've been working on all week....Santa 10. I had hoped to do something different for a change but the jam jar had spoken.
So here is my progress on Santa. Pardon the hoopmarks... working on Santa's trousers at the minute, the thread you can see trailing off the top of the present is for a button to be attached. I'm not entirely sure if I want to stitch Santa's beard with the recommended Whisper thread or just in plain white thread, he's going to be finished as either a flat fold or an orny for the tree and I wouldn't want it to get matted later... hmm decisions decisions....
There are still a few hours of daylight left so I'm hoping to get some more done before it gets to dark to see.
Until next time, happy stitching!!

P.S photos courtesy of my iphone until I get this damn problem fixed.

lets try this again shall we?
here is my progress on Santa 10.
see now this is weird, this photo was taken from my iphone and uploaded to facebook from there. then I saved it to my laptop from facebook and uploaded it here. this worked however if I take a photo using my camera and upload that you get the shoddy pics as seen in my last post. :\ annoying as I know there's nothing wrong with the camera or the photos when they are on my laptop.

Sunday Stitching & Holiday Happy Dances vol. 2
Hi everyone!!
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, it has been sunny here in Oxfordshire (for the most part) and I am happy to say that I have been stitching!! I'm currently working on Santa 10 by Lizzie Kate, I started this before Christmas last year and I got as far as stitching the words and his hat before I got startitis and moved on to something else ;) Here is where I am now

not entirely sure what's happened to the image, I'll try and reupload sometime in the week along with progress (hopefully!)
During my recent time off work I decided to work through some of the finishes in my finishing pile...sad to say there are rather a lot and I hardly made a dent despite finishing off 5 items!! Firstly I finshed my fall fob from the Crazy Jan Challenge.
Then I finished off Darcy Day, also from the CJC as a pillow, shown here with my bear from the Jane Austen Centre in Bath and all my Darcy books, honestly didn't know I had that many and I've also just checked out 3 more from the Library!
again the picture seems to have failed to upload properly....here is a close up anyway.
Then with the help of my mum Rachel we finished Collecting Flowers from the Somebunny To Love range by DMC (my first larger finish when I took up stitching again in 2007)
And April Showers also from the Somebunny To Love range
And here's how they look together on my stitching chair
Finally I finished Lizzie Kate's Good Things (also a January Challenge stitch) into the lid of my DMC wooden box
Again I appologise for the terrible photos, I don't know why blogger won't let me upload them properly, I know they were fine when I cropped them down...I'll try and sort them out tomorrow, until then....happy stitching!!

p.s I also have stashness and summer project ideas to tell next time!!!
