Valentine's Day

Only 14 days to go!! Luckily I finished stitching my card this morning, now all I need to do is press it & mount it onto an actual card. The design is from the current issue of cross stitch card shop.Changing Color Heart

Scrapbook Pages

Been off work ill this week so took the time to do some stitching & scrapbooking. I noticed that Shell over at cross those stitches makes scrapbook pages out of some of her stitching and I thought it was a cool way to display/store some of the smaller pieces of work I have done, so now I have two scrapbooks, one for christmassy designs and one for everything else Smile

This first page is of some stitching my Nan did for me when I was about 7. It was originally frames but the frame has been broken for a while & the aida was starting to go yellow so hopefully the acid free scrapbook page will help preserve it!

Finally found the groovy chick stitching I did when I was 12!!

Hope you like them!

Stitch & Craft show, Sandown Park

Found lots of stuff I had been looking for and a few things to look out for next time (I'll remember my bank card next time too !Mouth At Side)

So picture 1 is of the 8 kits I bought, from top to bottom, woodland enchantress, aroura cabin, sitting pretty, dimensions stocking bell pull, baby footprint birth sampler, humphrey's courner 'Humphrey & Rudolf', Solo 'contented christmas' & spot the dog!

Picture 2 is the Aida I bought from the sew-it-all stall for £15 (£6 each or 3 for £15) and because I'd spent £15 I got the fairies cross stitch book for free!

Picture 3 is all the other bits & pieces I picked up today, a mini frame, tail grabber, bead catcher, button embellishments, magnetic needle keeper, beads, bobbins & some coasters.

There were a few other things I'd of liked to have gotten today, mostly kits, but there's always the show in September! Smile

Newton SAL update

Well the SAL started early as we (Kathm, newton & myself) all had the supplies we needed and were just waiting for the 26th to start. Here is my first update

Monday, 19 January 2009

joined my first SAL :-)

it's the Newton's Law chart in the new issue of CSC & I can't wait to start it!! Went and bought the threads I needed to do it and now all I wanna do is start stitching but the SAL doesn't start until the 26th so I can't! Am trying to focus on finishing off the dusting fairy before the weekend as I am hopefully going to the stitch & craft show at Sandown Park with my mum, which should be fun if we can get there :-)

11 days into 2009...

and I have done very little stitching...(not good on the resolutions front!) tried to get some done on the housework fairies today but couldn't get into it enough to make much progress, not even enough to take a picture lol. Will try and do some more now & hopefully upload a photo of the progress before i go to sleep.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

ok so I'm a few days late, but better late than never! Stitchy Resolutions for this year are
  1. complete all my current WIP's
  2. start & finish 'popcorn flower's for you' in time for my grandma's birthday
  3. learn how to do french knots once & for all
  4. to complete at least one large project (one of the mirabillia or passione ricamo charts i have in my to-do pile)

Other Resolutions this year are:

  1. pass my driving test
  2. put any bonuses I get from work into my savings account (and not spend it!!)

Got a lovely stash of stitchy stuff from my mum & dad for xmas, had lots of aida (mostly sparkly & one hand dyed), 2 mirabillia charts, reusable project cards, some petite needles & short beading needles & a chocolate scented kit by DMC which I can't wait to try out!
